Bespoke solutions typically cost between two and four times that of an Actinic based solution - but our experience and low overheads enable us to produce sophisticated solutions at competitive prices.

It is not unheard of for our competitors to quote as much as four times the figure we have quoted, and whilst this may not be the case on every occasion, if you receive a quote that substantially undercuts ours then we really would advise due caution.

Some UK based web designers will quote for bespoke e-commerce solutions despite not having the necessary database and programming skills in-house. It is not unusual to subcontract these skills out to India - which not only introduces the possibility of language issues, but more importantly renders long term continuity of support and ongoing development uncertain.

Each solution is written to meet the individual clients requirements, but examples of features we have built into bespoke e-commerce solutions that could NOT be provided by Actinic based solutions include:

• Complex offers and voucher schemes.
   
• Automatically resize uploaded images for use required by the site.
   
• Provide multiple navigation options, associated products and search facilities far more sophisticated than possible within Actinic.
   
• Provide "Compare" function.
   
• Provide facility to locate the appropriate product by asking a series of questions, each question providing a range of possible answers depending on the answers given to previous questions.
   
• Provide "Review Product" and "Read Reviews" functions.
   
• Auto importing of data from several different suppliers databases, merge and process data and automatically update site - keeping site up to date with stock availability from supplies near real-time.
   
• Provide online browser based shop maintenance and admin pages allowing products etc. to be updated real-time from any location with an internet connection.
   
• Generate purchase orders with suppliers real-time, including passing data for direct fulfilment.
   
• Sophisticated reporting concerning orders, members (accounts), items viewed, abandoned carts and so on.
  
  All bespoke e-commerce solutions obviously include admin facilities necessary to maintain the shop and retrieve orders.
