Before Calling us....

If you have problems with either email or your web site please FIRST try performing a random Google Search.

If you are unable to do this then please reboot BOTH your PC and router or modem. Check all cables.

If this does not resolve the problem (and you can still not perform a Google Search) the problem would appear to be either your equipment or your broadband connection. Contact your broadband provider for help (that may be us, or it may be a 3rd party).  If we provided your equipment then please contact us even if we do not provide your broadband.

 
If you are having no problems viewing random 3rd party sites or performing searches, but are having problems with services provided by pinkdylan, them please contact us as detailed to the right:

In order to publish your Actinic shop to our servers, or retrieve orders from your Actinic shop from our servers, you need to ensure that your "Network Settings" are set up correctly within your Actinic installation.

Open your copy of Actinic (and if running more than one site, open the site you are concerned with)

Select "Network Settings" from under the "Web" menu at the top of Actinic (or "Network Setup" under "Advanced" in version 7 and earlier).

Below is a screenshot of the correct settings. ensure that your settings are identical to these OTHER than (obviously) you use your own domain name in place if the example used, and you use your correct user name and password. NOTE: the yellow highlights  show settings that may have changed for clients that have hosted Actinic sites on earlier pinkdylan servers.

NOTE: if using Actinic to send mail you may need to set up authentication - enter your email user name and password as shown in the pink highlighted area.

Once you have your settings correct, click the "Apply" button, then the "Test" button. You should receive no errors. If you do receive an error, check settings carefully again and retry, if problems persist, contact us on 01905 371041.
